Piddle Dash came to Sleaford in July 2009

On Saturday 18th July 2009 "Piddle Dash" came to Sleaford. This is the Official name of the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) way of holding an event where people of all ages and sex's can come together to raise money either in memory of a loved one, celebration of personal successful treatment or just to support the work of the PCRF.

 

The event in Sleaford was held over a 5km course of a mixture of terrain from pavements and fields. The day started at 9am with entries being taken ready for the "Piddle Dash" start at 10.30am.

Everybody was a winer but Alan Oliver crossed the line first

The entry fee was £ 5.00 and T-shirts were available at £ 5.00; all entrants were encouraged to raise sponsorship for the PCRF. Personal sponsorship forms were annotated to confirm entrants completed the event and individuals were responsible for forwarding their personal sponsorship onto the PCRF.

The event was open to all ages and you could complete the course at your own pace and time

The event was suport by the Sleaford Sports Foundation with the Clubhouse open for refreshment before, during and after the event.

     
     

The event raised approx £ 1,200 in sponsorship with the additional money for entry and T-shirts being collated within the funds raised during the year by the South Lincolnshire Provincial Grand Primo's Appeal; this would be presented in early 2010.

One of the youngest entrants was Callum who raise a magnificent sum of £ 100.00 i personal sponsorship - he also completed the course in style

 

The event will be held again in 2010
