Cross Country County Champs. We had a brilliant day at Riseholme for the County Championship Cross Country meeting with many Striders racing and all putting in great performances. In the U11 Girls race Ellie Ingameus took 7th place in her first outing in a Strider vest. Well done Ellie lots of promise for the future and already rated 7th in the county. U13 girls we fielded a great team with Lisa getting 9th place just 2 seconds ahead of Steffi running as the youngest in the age group. Freja continued her great Cross Country season taking 12th place just 9 seconds later giving Striders the 4th team place. Megan was our only representative in the U17 ladies race and ran a brilliant race to complete this 5300 course in just 28.44. Jane performed to her usual high standard and took 11th place, Jane, Lisa and Freja are all shortlisted for the Lincolnshire team as a result of their runs through the season. Vet women saw Maureen and Michelle running well with Maureen claiming 9th place and Michelle 17th In the U11 Boys race Jacob Boden came 13th covering a tough 1500m in just 7 minutes. U13 boys saw had Luke taking 10 th place and earning a place as reserve for the County team with Patrick 12th and Andrew 14th meaning the Strider team took 3rd place, well done boys. U15 saw Sam claim 10th place and earned hi, a reserve place on the County squad. Performance of the day was Josh taking first place in the U17 race nearly 30 seconds ahead of his nearest rival. This means he can add County Champion to his list of honours for the year when he has come second in the North Mids League even though he missed a race as he was competing elsewhere and has won the Lincs league. Obviosly he is on the County Squad. Adam ran a strong race and finished just 4:30 behind Josh and gained a reserve place in the County Squad. Alan claimed 15th place in the Senior Men with a time of 38:08 for the 9.7k course. For the Vet men Sandy came in 12th with Ted 44th and Derek 45th just one minute behind.

Under11 Sports Hall Trials. It was great to see many Striders at the Under 11 Sportshall trials last Sunday. They all did well in all 8 events and I was so proud to be one of their coaches. Florence was selected for the County Squad. Good luck to all Striders at the U13 and U15 Sports Hall trials on Sunday.
Lincolnshire Schools Cross Country. Kerrie took a large group of Striders to South Common for the Lincolnshire Schools Cross Country. They had all qualified by winning a place in their school competition. Most of them made the County Squad but at the time of writing this the resukts are not available.
North Mids Cross Country Due to a clash with the Lincolnshire Schools competition only two Striders Athletes went to Nottingham for the last in the North Mids Cross Country League.
